Winter Skincare Tips – 1 Exfoliation

Living in Glasgow I know how the winter weather takes it’s toll on our skin and no matter how many wind dried faces I see it still amazes me when clients decide not to exfoliate during cold weather and leave it for warmer months but exfoliation is the KEY to good skin health.

There is little point of putting a “rich cream” onto your skin (or any other products) when they cannot be absorbed into the skin. The skincare product(s) simply stay on the top of a layer of dead skin cells rather than being absorbed.Using the correct product to exfoliate will help stimulate your skin’s hydration from within, also remember to take special care of those other delicate, neglected areas: hands, eyes and décolleté.

If you have PIGMENTATION problems, remember exfoliation is crucial for allowing the skin to bring cells up to the surface and prepare for a more even skin complexion.

Using PRIORI® Advanced AHA Invigorating Face & Body Scrub will stimulate hydration. In addition, the round particles in in it will gently “micro polish” dead cells from your skins surface. Gentle exfoliation 1 to 3 times per week will help to prepare your skin for the next winter skincare steps.

If your are an ACNE sufferer, use Advanced AHA Invigorating Face & Body Scrub just twice a week ( remembering not to use on inflamed open blemishes) and leave on for 1-2 minutes before rinsing off to allow deeper cleansing action.

If you are unsure about exfoliation, do not know if your skin is healthy enough to start a skincare regime, want to discuss your Acne problems or book a free no obligation consultation please do not hesitate to contact me via this webpage or give me a ring on 0141 644 1594.
